Despite moving to NYC after graduating from Cornell, Charles was sucked back into the immense gravity well of cozy Ithaca in the wake of covid. They're making the most of it though, taking as many walks in Fall Creek as they can manage and chilling at Stewart Park on clear nights to see the shooting stars. When they get back home, they like to put on a record and read some science fiction, music history and criticism, graphic novels, postmodern literature, and philosophy while petting their cat, Persephone. Charles is a noise musician performing under the name Flose (though they can assure you more names and projects are coming), an ice cream savant and baking enthusiast, a lover of tough action games and ttrpgs, a burgeoning film aficionado, and a board member of Ithaca Underground.
Bookseller
Isis comes to Ithaca by way of Boston, but after ten years here, she feels like an Ithacan at heart. Her biggest hobby (besides reading) is collecting hobbies: knitting, sewing, independent perfumes, Dungeons & Dragons, homeschooling, journaling, and non-culturally-appropriative spirituality, to name just a few. She is particularly fond of children's and young adult literature, and is currently working on her first novel, an epic fantasy.
Inventory Manager
Ivy is a townie through and through, having grown up in Trumansburg and attending Ithaca College. If she's not collecting books she doesn't have time to read, she's probably stage managing theater - especially with the Ithaca Shakespeare Company. Her main reading genres other than plays are YA/children's literature and fantasy (though she's trying to expand), and she has a special interest in transformative works. Non reading related hobbies include cross stitching, playing Stardew Valley, and cross stitching things from Stardew Valley.

General Manager
Lisa has been the General Manager at Buffalo Street Books since late 2017. She is our lead buyer/curator, shepherds all of our Ithaca Is Books community programming, and basically has too many ideas and too little time for all that she wants to do for the bookstore and our community. Lisa lives in Fall Creek with her partner Robert and occasionally in residence adult child, Jasper. Lisa is a member of the board of directors of Downtown Ithaca Alliance.
